Shop History
D&S has been in business in the same location for over 40 years! Founded in 1981 by Debbie and Steve (D&S) Pappas, D&S instantly became a favorite bait and tackle destination for local anglers in the Madison area and beyond! In 1991, Gene and Sandy Dellinger (pictured) took over the shop and, for the next 31 years, cemented D&S's legacy as the premiere live bait and tackle store in the Madison area! Gene and Sandy sold the shop to Pat & Ashley Hasburgh in 2022 and outside of adding a fly fishing and tying department, they’re proud to continue the impressive legacy Gene and Sandy handed off to them!
Meet the new owners, Pat and Ashley Hasburgh!
Pat & Ashley Hasburgh have lived on Madison's north side for almost 20 years and have two sons. Pat has been fishing his entire life and it's pretty much all he thinks about. If he's not out chasing fish, or behind the counter at the shop, he’s probably helping one of the many conservation groups he’s involved with both personally or supports through the shop. Ashley is a Nurse Practitioner at the VA hospital by day and the glue that keeps the shop together by working her behind-the-scenes magic in her spare time. While she's not on the water as much as Pat, when she does get out, she'll almost certainly catch the fish of the day!
